TAC Internet Setup Instructions for Windows Vista

STEP 1: Dialer Configuration

1.       Click on the Start Button, then click Control Panel.

2.       then click Network and Internet

3.       then click Network and Sharing Center.

4.       Next, click on Set up a connection or network

5.       Choose the modem that you want to connect with, from the list of modems that appear on the screen. If there are no modems listed then you either do not have a modem installed on your computer or your modem is not installed properly.

6.       Type in the following account information in the appropriate fields:

Dial-up phone number: 0198333128
If you have call waiting, you may need to have it disabled when you are connected to the Internet


User name: Type in your email address i.e. xyz@tac.com.au

Password: Type in your password.

Place a check in the box next to "Remember this password", if you don't want to type the password every time that you connect.

Connection name: Type in TAC

That finishes the setup proceedure

STEP 2: Connecting to TAC ISP

1.       Go to Start and click on Connect to A list of your connections should appear.

2.       Select the TAC connection and click Connect Then the connection window should appear. Click Dial to get connected to the Internet

STEP 3: Set Up Mail

OUTLOOK EXPRESS 6 & 7: Open Outlook Express and click on the TOOLS pull down menu, click on ACCOUNTS. Select the MAIL tab at the top of the page, click the ADD button and then follow the setup wizard through entering all of the applicable information below.

POP3 server (incoming mail) : mail.tac.com.au

SMTP server (outgoing mail) : mail.tac.com.au

POP3 account is your username
if your email address was xyz@tac.com.au then your username would be xyz
