Trans Australia Communications 1300135861TAC Internet Setup Instructions for Windows XP Dial up Access Number Australia Wide STEP 1: Dialer Configuration 1. Click on the Start Button, then click Control Panel. 2. On the left hand side click Switch To Classic View. 3.
Double Click
Network Connections. 4. On the left hand side click Create A New Connection. 5. Click Next. 6. Select Connect To The Internet. Click Next. 7. Select Set Up My Connection Manually. Click Next. 8. Select Connect Using A Dial-up Modem. Click Next. 9. Type in TAC ISP in the ISP Name Field. Click Next. 10. Type in the phone number for your account (listed at the top of the page). Click Next. 11. Type in your username and password in the appropriate fields. 12. Select the option Turn On Internet Connection Firewall For This Connection. iF NOT already ticked then Click Next 13. Select the option Add A Shortcut To This Connection To My Desktop. Click Finish. NB: All accounts need to be created BEFORE you proceed to the next step.STEP 3: Connecting to TAC ISP 1. Go to your Desktop area. 2. Double click the TAC ISP icon. 3. Enter your Username and Password (if they are not already entered). 4. Click Dial. Mail Settings (must be set or mail will not work)OUTLOOK EXPRESS 6: Open Outlook Express and click on the TOOLS pull down menu, click on ACCOUNTS. Select the MAIL tab at the top of the page, click the ADD button and then follow the setup wizard through entering all of the applicable information below.
